School's back in session!

It's back to the college grind this week! I started classes on Monday and have a pretty full schedule, even with only three classes (and one lab). I have two classes with a bunch of YOUNG kids... they're more of general ed classes... US History 2010 and College Algebra. My other class is Chemistry and the lab that goes with that class. So far the algebra class is just a review and the history class has been wildly entertaining (the lectures are full of hilarious anecdotes and stories while lecturing on history -- I can't figure out what I should be taking notes on though!) I think I have the best possible instructor for chemistry (I mean, if you HAVE to take Chemistry, I think this guy will be the best) and there are some people that I really like to study with in the class, so all in all, a good schedule this semester. Except that my labs will be on SATURDAYS... ugh! What a pain! Only every other Sat though. Still.... not great.
Mom and I photographed a wedding on Sunday. It was a bit of a hairy situation... it was raining which delayed decorating the amphitheater where they planned to have the ceremony. Then the rain stopped and we rushed to help them decorate. The bride moved the wedding time (a few weeks ago) from 3:30 in the afternoon to 6:30 in the evening because she feared it would be too hot, but that meant (for an outside wedding) we ran out of daylight and had a tough time getting good pictures at the ceremony of the bridal party. I am remembering the reasons why we don't want to do weddings. We just did hers as a favor to her.
Our proofbook came in for the pregnancy shoot that we did and we're really happy with it. We had another one scheduled for last night, but the mom was sick and the weather was icky too, so we've rescheduled for tomorrow night. She's having twins and already has a toddler, so there will be a few more thing to consider for the pictures.
Megan is excited... the 2nd grade is having their big luau tomorrow. I'll have to remember to take pictures in the morning before I drop her off at school. She'll look cute in her grass skirt!
